Pension Inc. History - Your Retirement Team
Pension Inc. was established by James P. Cooney in 1988. As an attorney and former bank vice president, Jim wanted to provide independent retirement plan administration services with no investment affiliation.
The offices of Pension Inc. originally resided in a renovated Victorian home near downtown Green Bay WI. In 1999, Jim retired from Pension Inc. and sold the business to the Pension Inc. associates.
On August 21, 2009 Pension Inc. moved to a larger facility located at 1980 Commercial Way in Green Bay WI.

Pension Inc. was founded by James P. Cooney.
1999
Pension Inc. sold to new principals Susan Van Gheem, Jacqueline Krull, and Mary Hanzel.
Introduced an open-architecture daily valuation platform.
2007
Sarah Green and Christopher Dewsnap joined the ownership team.
Received "Families in Good company" award from Green Bay WI Chamber of Commerce.
2009
Pension Inc. moved to larger offices with anticipation of growth.
2012
Achieved record growth through expanding key vendor relationships.
2013
Celebrated 25 years of excellence in retirement plan administration.
2017
Sandra Marsicek and Kayleigh Filz joined the Pension Inc. ownership team
2018
Pension Inc. celebrated 30 years of retirement plan administration.
2019
Transformational SECURE Act (and subsequent SECURE Act 2.0) signed into law to improve access to retirement plans
2023
Pension Inc. celebrated 35 years.
