We don’t sell investment products, but we provide access on our full recordkeeping platform to over 20,000 mutual funds and Exchange Traded Funds. Our select vendor partnerships allow us to work with some of the most trusted names in the industry. Having eliminated the potential for conflict of interest by selling product, we are free to focus solely on plan administration. We believe this helps us serve you best.

PENSION INC. IS FAR MORE THAN A THIRD PARTY ADMINISTRATOR.

We oversee all administrative functions of defined contribution plans, including 401(k), cross-tested and age-based profit sharing, safe harbor opportunities, and cash balance plans. We partner with the most qualified brokers, registered investment advisors, insurance agents, and bankers in the United States. Our flexible investment solutions allow our partners to select the investment platform best suited for a client plan.

We work proactively to prevent plan administrative problems. We offer customized plan designs that are tailored to help meet the goals of plan sponsors and participants. We are always focused on efficiency and compliance. Our role as fiduciary—a role many competing firms aren’t willing or able to undertake—helps limit plan sponsor liability (in select plan arrangements). Because we live in an age of retirement plan scrutiny and litigation, every plan needs transparency of fees and services and reliable and accountable oversight. And Pension Inc. delivers.

Our History

Pension Inc. was established by James P. Cooney in 1988. As an attorney and former bank vice president, Jim wanted to provide independent retirement plan administration services with no investment affiliation.

The offices of Pension Inc. originally resided in a renovated Victorian home near downtown Green Bay. In 1999, Jim retired from Pension Inc. and sold the business to the Pension Inc. associates.

On August 21, 2009 Pension Inc. moved to a larger facility located at 1980 Commercial Way in Green Bay, WI.
